Manufacturing Engineer
Job Summary: Create CAD drawings from concept to final design, drawn to scale, suitably detailed to convey the necessary information required for approval. As a designer/modeler, the individual will be tasked with developing various design concepts for sheet metal, welded assemblies, and machined components.
- Proficiency with CAD parametric modeling software such as SolidWorks.
- Develops various designs concepts for sheet metal, welded assemblies machined components.
- Prepare engineering drawings in compliance with engineering standards to be used for manufacturing purposes.
- Initiates and develops design drawings to fulfill technical objectives consistent with established guidelines, customer requirements and design specifications.
- Will lead projects through all phases of project predesign(feasibility) through fabrication.
- Works under general supervision. Relies on experience and judgment to accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
- Works closely with Welders and fabricators to communicate designs through drawing, specifications, and other related documents.
- Develops increased proficiency in design system operations (with a resulting increase in productivity) Become adept at utilizing all software options.
- Prepares CAD drawings and plan sets, maintain CAD file structure for new and existing projects.
- Keeping track of document notes, design calculations, and other materials for future reference.
Qualifications:
- 2-year technical degree in computer aided drafting, welding and fabrication or machining preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience performing computer aided drafting.
- Working knowledge of SolidWorks and NetSuite preferred.
- 3-5 years of trade-specific experience.
- Strong written and verbal skills.
- Commitment to detail, deadlines and maintaining labor estimates.
- Must be a self-starter, with the ability to work well individually or as part of a team.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong math skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes (CNC machining, welding, and sheet metal).
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform routine tasks and complex assignments applying advanced knowledge of computer aided drafting system standards, practices, and techniques.
- Apply judgment and sound decision making with respect to developing new drawings and models.
- Prepare 2D and 3D drawings and conceptual layouts to produce clear complete and accurate documents.
- Adhere to industry codes and standards as well department practices and procedures.
- Update models to reflect as-built conditions.
- Develop increased proficiency in design system operations (with a resulting increase in productivity). Become adept at utilizing all software options.
- Able to work under and meet tight deadlines.
- Perform additional assignments as requested/needed.
- Proof designs for potential errors.
Working Conditions:
- Office and shop environment, with some outdoor exposure.
- The noise level is usually moderate in the office and loud in the shop.
- Fast paced environment: subject to numerous schedule and priority changes and short notice activity.
- Average workday of 10 hours per day. Required to work the set hours of 6-4:30 PM.

Welder
Job Summary: Responsible for welding steel, stainless steel, and aluminum with responsibilities including welding for mechanical strength, critical safety, load requirements and appearance. They will work from specifications, drawings, prints, and welding symbols.
- Fabricates and assembles components to close tolerances and specifications.
- Deburring and cleanup of weldments, corrects errors and asses own work to ensure quality before part leaves.
- Produces consistent quality MIG welds on components to close tolerances and specifications.
- Studies blueprints to determine project task sequence and requirements to fabricate assembles and sub-assemblies.
- Uses auxiliary equipment and tools (drill press, drills, taps, reams, hand grinder, bandsaw, etc.) safely and effectively.
- Stress release parts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED.
- Ability to regularly lift and or move up to 75lbs without assistance.
- Ability to read, understand and carry out instructions as detailed in blueprints.
- Ability to understand all safety equipment in the area.
- Ability to read blueprints as well as perform basic math functions.
- Ability to stand and be physically active for much of the workday.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral and diagram form.
- Must have own tools. The company will supply specialty tools.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Reads and comprehends blueprints.
- Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding from blueprints.
- Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds part to secure in position for welding.
- Sets up equipment and welds parts.
- Responsible for inspecting work and making corrective repairs if necessary.
- Communicate respectively with supervisor and fellow employees.
- Must be able to operate multiple tools including but not limited to drills, grinders band saws, etc.
- Maintains equipment and performs daily inspections of equipment.

Installer
Job Summary: Lays out, fits, and installs truck equipment per blueprints or work order.
- Install equipment, attachments, hydraulic systems, or other devices according to blueprints or schematic drawings.
- Has the ability to read computer jobs, job specifications and lay outs to complete job.
- Operates shop machinery.
- Has the ability to install truck components per requirements and very conformance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to communicate and understand written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to read and follow instructions on blueprints.
- Ability to perform basic math.
- Ability to work independently and alongside a team.
- Self-starter.
- Can safely lift, push, and pull heavy objects(75lbs). Walk and stand for long periods of time, work in a loud environment.
Essential Duties and responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to assemble the job correctly.
- Assembles parts/units to customer specifications.
- Has the ability to place large truck equipment components in place to requirements, verify conformance.
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment.
- Ability to perform truck maintenance (including fluid changes, brakes, A/C. etc.)
- Inventories all job-related materials.
- Installs units (welding, electrical, hydraulics) in all positions (i.e., under dash, under frame or in box of truck to requirements.
- Ability to drive commercial vehicles in and out of shop and test drive when needed.
- Reviews all checklists to assure all tasks are completed before moving onto final inspection.
- Experience/training and troubleshooting experience in hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical and mechanical print reading required.

Fabricator
Job Summary: The fabricator is responsible for operating a variety of machines to fabricatemetal parts to specifications in a timely manner.
- Accountable for fabrication and layout on a variety of parts per job order or specifications.
- Sets up and operates machines to cut, bend, machine, or form parts with minimal assistance.
- Operates a variety of shop equipment; drill press, band saw, CNC milling machine, plasma table, overhead cranes, CNC hydraulic press brakes, tubing bender, etc.
- Operates forklift.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to communicate and understand written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to read and follow instructions on blueprints.
- Ability to perform basic math.
- Ability to work independently and alongside a team.
- Self – starter.

- Plan machine utilizing work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, etc.
- Set up, program, and verify machines accordingly.
- Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting.
- Takes measurements, detects malfunctions, troubleshoots processes and reprograms controls.
- Obtains raw material from warehouse as needed.
- Deburrs, buffs or sands parts to meet requirements to print specifications.
- Loads and operates machines.
- Sharpens and replaces worn tools.
- Adheres to quality assurance procedures and processes.
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintains equipment by routine maintenance requirements.

Parts Assistant
Job Summary: The Parts Assistant helps ensure inventory control for supplies and equipment. The basic function of the Parts Assistant is to assist in controlling the movement of parts and accessory inventory in, through, and out of the departments. The Parts Assistant will assist, sell, and service the customers of Renegade Truck Equipment, Inc.
You are responsible for supporting the Company vision and mission. Because you will be in contact with customers, and you are in a strong position to influence their satisfaction and our Company’s prosperity, this position requires tact, sensitivity, and professionalism.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Should be computer literate familiar with Microsoft software.
- Energetic and customer driven.
- Good organizational skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be a self-starter.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must be able to work in an environment which requires lifting (up to 50lbs).
- Courteous customer communication skills and excellent people skills are essential.
- Knowledge of Oracle/NetSuite Software a plus.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist the Parts Manager with the day-to-day operations of the parts department including inventory control, pricing, deliveries, invoicing, warranty claims, etc.
- Assist Parts Manager in weekly and monthly cycle counts.
- Handle all types of customer parts inquiries to include estimating parts pricing for retail customers as well as the Sales and Service Departments.
- Answer phones and greet customers.
- Must be able to do unsupervised accurate part number research, using parts manuals, schematics, and various written material.
- Restock parts into bins/shelves as needed.
- Any other duties the Parts Manager may feel are necessary to assign.
